Drawing No. G001, Applicable Codes; Add to Applicable Codes: Accessibility Code:   Accessible and Useable Buildings and Facilities (ICC/ANSI A117.1) 2003. RESOLVED

Drawing A020, Code Analysis; There is an error in the "Area Determination (IBC 506.4)" calculation.  The multiplier is shown as 4; however, it should be shown as 3 per IBC 506.4, item 2.  Note that exception 2 does not apply here because it is specifically for buildings with sprinklers in accordance with NFPA 13R (IBC Section 903.3.1.2) and not for buildings with sprinklers in accordance with NFPA 13 (IBC Section 903.3.1.1) which already gets a 200% area increase. RESOLVED

5_Resolved
Drawing A020, Code Analysis; There is an error in the "Actual Building Area by Floor" calculation.  Since you are using separated occupancies be IBC Section 508.4; the 45,000 denominator number is incorrect (it applies to R-1 occupancy).  What is required here is the similarly calculated denominator number for the the B, A-2, & A-3 occupancies. RESOLVED

Drawing G004, Wall Details; Please show the continuity of the fire-resistive assemblies. The Vertical 2 hour assemblies do not seem to show continuity for details K and J (and possibly others)

7_Resolved
Drawing G004, Wall Details; Please indicate that the Vertical 2 hour assemblies fire-resistive assemblies for details G and E are required in the stairwells (not 1 hour required and 2 hour provided as stated).

8_Resolved
G005, General Notes, (General Note J) and A101, General Notes, (General Note O); Provide Special Inspection for EFIS or indicate compliance with one of the exceptions indicated in IBC Section 1704.14.

9_Resolved
A451, Keyed Notes (Note No. 3); The three locations on floors 2 thru 4 indicating "Chute Intake Hatch, Self-Closing" should also identify the required 90 minute fire-resistive rating since these Hatches access a four story shaft.

10_Resolved
A600, Door Schedule (Door No. 21); The "Linen Chute Discharge" should identify the required 90 minute fire-resistive rating since this Door accesses a four story shaft.

11_Resolved
A101a, Main Level Floor Plan - Area A; Reverse the door swing for door 33 since this is the continuation of the required 2nd exit from the pool area which has an occupant load over 50.

12_Resolved
A101a, Main Level Floor Plan - Area A and A600, Door Schedule; Add panic hardware to door 13 since this is the required 2nd exit from the pool area which has an occupant load over 50.

13_Resolved
A101a, Main Level Floor Plan - Area A and A600, Door Schedule; Add a 20 minute fire-resistance rating to door 30 entry to meeting Room 17, since this door accesses a rated corridor.

14_Resolved
Drawing A601; Ensure that safety glass is provided on all glass within 2 feet of door ways.

15_Resolved
Drawing A600; Revise door ratings as below:
Door 18 45 minutes fire-resistance rating
Door 40 45 minutes fire-resistance rating
Door 30 20 minutes fire-resistance rating
Door 21 90 minutes fire-resistance rating
Door 13 Add: Panic Hardware

16_Resolved
Drawing A020, A100, A100a, and A410; The pool area is provided with two separated exits as required. However, since this are is an A occupancy that is greater than 50 occupants, the exit doors must swing in the direction of exit travel and must be provided with panic hardware. Please reverse the door swing for door 33 and provide panic hardware on door 13.
