1) STATUS:   8-19-15 Comments to be addressed.       9-22-15 APPROVED.

 

2) The following comments based upon the 2009 Uniform Plumbing Code must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the Uniform Plumbing Code or any federal, state or local regulations.              RESOLVED 9-22-15.

 

3) P1.1.2         A separate vent is required for FD-4 p-trap in Produce Prep 122 per UPC 901.1.           RESOLVED PER RE-SUBMITTAL RECEIVED 9-18-15.

 

4) P1.1.2         The existing trench drain in Produce Cooler 121 is not allowed per UPC 411.3 and was not allowed at the time of installation.              RESOLVED PER RE-SUBMITTAL RECEIVED 9-18-15.

 

5) P1.1.2         A 3" vent is required downstream of the uppermost fixture (E)HD on the existing CWV system passing through Meat/Seafood Sales 112 per UPC 910.3.           RESOLVED PER RE-SUBMITTAL RECEIVED 9-18-15.

 

6) P1.1.2         Unvented HD-1 in Seafood Prep 103 is required to be connected to the CWV main and not the Sanitary main. (UPC 910)      RESOLVED PER RE-SUBMITTAL RECEIVED 9-18-15.

 

7) P1.2.6         The water heater located in the corner of the room of Water Heater 174 is required to be accessible and does not meet the requirements of IMC 306.1.         RESOLVED PER RE-SUBMITTAL RECEIVED 9-18-15.

 

8) P5.2            The 3-compartment sink in detail NW-PSD-307 requires a center waste outlet per UPC 1001.2.                                 RESOLVED PER RE-SUBMITTAL RECEIVED 9-18-15.

 

9) P6.1            Lavatory P-1 requires an ASSE 1070 point of use mixing valve per UPC 413.1.                 RESOLVED PER RE-SUBMITTAL RECEIVED 9-18-15.

 

10) P6.1          Interior hose bibs (HB-6) in other than residential applications are considered by the AWWA Cross Connection Control Manual to be a high hazard and would normally require an RP device; however the MOA has been allowing either a PVB or an SVB for this application. (Local amentment to UPC 603.4.28.    RESOLVED PER RE-SUBMITTAL RECEIVED 9-18-15.

 

11) When the above comments have been addressed please update the plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three sets of revised plumbing pages to include clouded changes, engineers stamp and signature.                                RE-SUBMITTALS ARE TO BE DIRECTED TO THE ATTENTION OF THE PERMIT MANAGER WITH A LETTER OF RESPONSE ADDRESSING EACH COMMENT.
