. C(1): STATUS: 2-28-08 Comments to be addressed. 5-1-08 APPROVED. C(2): The following comments are based on the 2006 International Building Code (IBC) and must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the IBC or any federal, state or local regulations. RESOLVED 5-1-08. C(3): A 1.0 IBC 505.3 states that "Each occupant of a mezzanine shall have access to at least two independent means of egress where the common path of egress travel exceeds the limitations of Section 1014.3" (75 feet). From the back corner of the mezzanine to the bottom of the stairs would be about 90 feet of travel distance requiring a second means of egress separated by a distance of at least 1/2 the diagonal of the entire mezzanine (1015.2.1). RESOLVED PER CONVERSATION WITH THE ARCHITECT 5-1-08. C(4): A2.0 Please clarify that the horizontal sliding doors (existing and new) comply with 1008.1.3.3.
