. C(1): CMU WALL ON GRID 5 The configuration of the building appears to lead to about 50% of the seismic force being distributed to the wall on grid 5. Please provide calculations showing this wall can support that seismic load (assuming it is an ordinary reinforced masonry wall with an R=2.5) or provide details showing how the wall can be modified to support that load. Please note that another option is to provide an alternate load path for the seismic loads. Reference IBC section 3402.2. Response not accepted. Because of the reintrant corner, the reference wall is supporting a significant portion of the seismic load. Please provide the information required by the original comment. WAB - 1/19/2006 C(2): HEADER AND JAM CLARIFICATION Reference the elevations on sheet S-3 and details 4 and 5 on sheet S-5. Please clarify the header and jam requirements. Sheet S-3 indicates double stud headers and 4-stud jams (please note sizes will be required is S-3 is accurate) and details 4 and 5 on sheet S-5 indicate tube steel jams with a channel header.
