The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the IBC or any federal, state or local regulations. C(2): Reference the new gripstrut stair. Since the stair serves other than F, S and H occupancies, a solid surface is required per section 1003.3.3.5.1. Please address. Since the stair is new, it must be protected from the accumulation of snow and ice per section 1003.3.3.5.2. Resolved 1-23-05. Covered stair and landing to be submitted as a change order at some future date.
