C(2): For the reroofing of the high roof area, calculations of the structural supporting members of the existing must be provided unless the new system does not add more than 5% weight to the structure. Please tabulate the weights of existing roofing material and the new existing materials to show that the weight of the new roofing system doesnot change the design basis of the existing members. 5/9/05 The response provided shows that the new roof system will be lighter than the existing and gravity and lateral load effects will not require additional evaluation per the Anchorage Existing Building Code.
