. C(1): The following comments are based on the 2000 International Building Code (IBC) and must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the IBC or any federal, state or local regulations. C(2): Please clarify whether or not the elevator lobby doors are proposed to be removed. Please note requirements of IBC 1004.2.2.1 would require the one hour rated corridor to be maintained because the exit enclosures do not meet the minimum 1/3 diagonal separation and the separation shall (now) be measure along the corridor. Removing the elevator lobby doors would not allow continuation of the rated corridor. 6/3/2004 Per Kyle the elevator lobby door will remain.
