. C(1): The following comments are based on the 2000 International Building Code (IBC) and must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the IBC or any federal, state or local regulations. C(2): NON-SEPARATED USES It appears that the allowable area calculations for this building could apply the provisions of IBC section 302.3.2 for non-separated uses. This would eliminate many of the fire resistivity requirements. Consider updating the code study. 7/1/04 - The response indicated that the uses would continue to be separated. Please provide listings on the plans for the fire rated wall and floor/ceiling assemblies to be used. Also, please clarify how the continuity of the fire walls will be maintained between the first and second floors and at the roof of the admin module. Per IBC section 706.4 these walls must be continuous to the underside of the floor or roof deck above. 7/8/04 - Response indicated the walls would be continuous. A detail will be provided for approval
