. C(1): This review is based on the requirements of the 2000 International Building Code (IBC) and all adopted references thereto as amended by MOA. The following comments must be addressed before a permit can be issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of the codes, or any federal, state or local regulations. C(2): WIND LOADS Please apply the component and cladding loads of IBC section 1609.6.5 when designing the exterior stud walls. The loads used in the calculations appear to be too low. 8/18/04 - The response indicated that the maximum wind load is 20.9 psf which appears to be low. Please note that this building is in the 120 MPH zone (just barely) and must be designed for those wind pressures. Also, it appears that you are using the roof loads part of the table, please apply the loads for wall areas.Please check the studs being used in the endzone as it appears that they may be overstressed. 8/31/04 - Resolved.
