The following comments must be addressed before permit can be issued. C(2): Reference IBC Section 1621: Architectural, mechanical and electrical components must be attached and anchorage to the building in accordance with this section. Mechanical and electrical components, weighing 20 lbs or less, where Ip = 1.0, and flexible connections between the components and associated duct work, piping and conduit are provided are exempt from these requirements. VAV boxes, and soffits may require design and detailing. Please verify and provide the required engineering calculations and add details and/or notes on the plans for construction.
