The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the IBC or any federal, state or local regulations. C(2): Please see code study. Please note the code study is incomplete. Missing is the type of construction which you list as "existing," this is not a construction type. Please note the Dimond Mall consist of more than one type of construction some of which is rated. This information impacts the type of materials allowed. Please also note the site plan on cover sheet is outdated, please update to allow for verification of location. AAC 23.10.302.3. Please note the construction type listed on the code study indicated type IV which is incorrect. I verified the construction type as VA (V 1 hour) for this area of the Dimond mall. I see demolition notes (see D-1, note 18) indicating the column wrap but not the fire protection will be removed and the walls will be patched with type X GWB and the new ceiling is rated. The only point I want to make is that all new construction shall be consistent with type VA construction to include rated assemblies for all plumbing, mechanical, and electr
