Advisory Information:
C(1): Change order No. 7 consist of connecting the load bearing stud wall to an existing W24 steel girder and replacing detail 3/A6.2 which was previously approved. Designer did not provide supporting calculations but it appears that the supporting wall will carry the load of a steel rolling door that weights approximatelly 500 lbs. However, the load transter to the existing girder is only lateral and is not a point load. The designer judgement is that there is aminor tortional force introduced to the existing girder but should not impact is integrity. I've check the members and and respective connections and it seems to be correct. I have approved this change without any supporting calculations.
