. C(1): The following comments based on the 2000 International Building Code (IBC) must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the IBC or any federal, state or local regulations. C(2): Please see sheet A-1 note for new "1 hour shaft wall." A shaft is an enclosed space extending through one or more stories of the building, connecting vertical openings in successive floors or floors and roof. Reference IBC section 702. It appears this is a generator room. Therefore, this is a fire separation wall and not a "shaft." Please provide listing and detail for a1 hour wall per section 706 2000 IBC. 5/13/2003 Added UL#469 detail to drawings. I printed out the listing and assembly to drawings. MKS
