Advisory Information:
. C(1): Provide a Geotechnical Advisory Commission (GAC) resolution recommending approval of the submitted fill design and fill plans. The resolution should address the global stability of the site as well as local stability near the sheet pile structure. The 1992 GAC approval resolution for this site was for the adequacy of a buttress that would meet the code requirements for slope stability. The current design does not appear to address the global stability of the site since there is nothing analogous to the 1992 buttress. I understand that there is a slip plane at about -2.0 feet elevation. The sheet pile structure itself is outside the scope of the GAC review, but the resolution should confirm the validity of applicable soil parameters associated with the sheetpile structure. C(2): The plans need to address what happens to the Rip Rap at the face of the existing site. UBC Appendix Chapter 33, Section 3313.3 does not allow incorporation of material greater than 12 inches.
