C(2): Ref DM221M5 & M7: The referenced 12" duct penetrates a 2 hour floor assembly requiring a fire damper (or if it is within a rated shaft enclosure, then it requires a fire/smoke damper upon entering and leaving that enclosure) per IBC 715.6.1 (or 715.5.3.1).
