1. Please verify there is at least 0.2 sq. inches of vertical reinforcement within 16" of the sides of the opening. Reference ACI 530-16 section 7.3.2.1.3. This section also requires the horizontal reinforcement to extend at least 24" past openings, but this can be reduced based on engineer's judgement where steel angles or plates are used. It seems like it would be reasonable to extend far enough to get at least two anchors installed to control any cracking that may occur. The horizontals should be directly above and below the opening.

2. There doesn't appear to be any specific special inspections required. Please clarify.

3. Where special inspections are required please provide a letter from the Owner indicating who they will be hiring to provide the special inspections for this project. The special inspectors must be licensed in the types of inspections to be performed.
