STRUCTURAL REVIEW STATUS
05/10/2022 – Initial review complete; revisions are required.
This review is based on the requirements of the Anchorage Municipal Code (AMC), 2018 International Building Code (IBC) and all adopted references thereto as amended by MOA. The following comments must be addressed before a permit can be issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of the code or any federal, state, or local regulations.
1. Drawing sheet S100 Structural Design Criteria Schedule and the Structural Notes below state that the building code is the 2012 IBC; please revise. The 2018 IBC as amended is the current design standard in the Municipality of Anchorage.
2. Drawing sheet S102 also contains a reference to the 2012 IBC.
3. Detail 1/S400 shows an RTU beam but it is not clear whether it is new or existing. Please clarify.
4. Detail 2/S402 shows GLB sleepers. Please clarify whether these are new or existing.
5. Detail 3/S402 specifies ½" SS type Hilti Quick Bolt TZ if installed on concrete slab. Please clarify the length of fastener required.
Please address each comment and include one copy of additional/revised calculations and two copies of additional/revised drawings. Please indicate the location of any additions or corrections in the response. All documents should be submitted to the permit manager as shown above.
