1) STATUS: 5-19-2020 Comments to be addressed.

2) The following comments based upon the 2012 International Building Code (IBC) must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the IBC or any federal, state or local regulations.

3) A002 The occupancy group for a hospital is "I-2". (IBC 308.4)

4) A002 The building is at least 6 stories. "I-2" in a 6 story building requires Type "1A" construction. (IBC Table 503)

5) A002 Type "1A" construction is not a 1 hour rated structure. Provide the Fire-Resistance Rating Requirements for Type "1A" Construction per IBC Table 601.

6) A111 Sheet Note D9 (two locations) states: "Demolish existing door and frame." On sheet A201 for the new work, the replacement or fix is not addressed. Please clarify.

7) When the above comments have been addressed, please update the plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three sets of revised architectural pages to include clouded changes, architects stamp and signature. RE-SUBMITTALS ARE TO BE DIRECTED TO THE ATTENTION OF THE PERMIT MANAGER WITH A LETTER OF RESPONSE ADDRESSING EACH COMMENT. (23.10.104.8.1)
