1) STATUS: 3-09-2020 Comments to be addressed.
2) The following comments based upon the 2012 International Building, Mechanical and Fuel Gas Codes must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the IBC, IMC, IFGC or any federal, state or local regulations.
3) Provide structural, seismic and wind load calculations as applicable, plus fastening details for AS-1 & 2, B-1 & 2, DHU-1, ET-1 thru 3, GT-1 & 2, MAU-1, Micro Turbine, RTU-1 thru 6 and WST-1 & 2 to include the engineers stamp and signature for structural review on a deferred submittal basis.
4) M3.1, M4.1, M4.3 & M5.1 The section reference to 2/M6.3 is actually shown at 2/M6.4.
5) M3.1 The three air transfers at Key Notes 4, 7 & 8 passing through rated corridor walls require smoke dampers per IBC 717.5.4.1.
6) M3.1 Clarify Key Notes #7 & #8.
7) M3.2 . The five air transfers at Key Notes 5, 6, 9 & 10 passing through rated corridor walls require smoke dampers per IBC 717.5.4.1.
8) M4.2. M4.4 & M5.1 The section reference to 1/M6.3 is actually shown at 1/M6.4.
9) M5.1 RH-3 appears to be less than 10 feet from the air intake for MAU-1. (IMC 501.3.1.3)
10) M5.1 RH-2 & EF-10 appear to be less than 10 feet from the air intake for RTU-4. (IMC 501.3.1.3)
11) M5.1 There is one section and one detail reference to X/MX. Please clarify.
12) M5.1 There is a 1-1/2" gas branch dropping down to service the fireplace in Backyard 142 coming off of a 1-1/4" gas main. Please clarify.
13) M5.1 There is a 1-1/4" MPG main going through a gas pressure regulator and continuing on as a 1-1/4" MPG main. Please clarify.
14) Provide a gas pipe isometric or schematic diagram to include pipe sizes, length of run and equipment loads such that the gas pipe sizing may be verified.
15) "The installation of a medium pressure gas system (2 psig or 5 psig) within a building must be pre-approved by the local gas utility." (Local amendment to IFGC 417.1) Please clarify.
16) When the above comments have been addressed, please update the plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three sets of revised mechanical pages to include clouded changes, engineers stamp and signature. RE-SUBMITTALS ARE TO BE DIRECTED TO THE ATTENTION OF THE PERMIT MANAGER WITH A LETTER OF RESPONSE ADDRESSING EACH COMMENT. (23.10.104.8.1)
