STRUCTURAL REVIEW STATUS
06/20/2019 – Initial review complete; additional submittals are required.
This review is based on the requirements of the Anchorage Municipal Code (AMC), 2012 International Building Code (IBC) and all adopted references thereto as amended by MOA. The following comments must be addressed before a permit can be issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of the codes, or any federal, state or local regulations.
Drawing sheet A-1 specifies 25 ga metal stud walls at 16” on-center and drawing A-2 calls for the use of 20 ga studs. Please verify that the walls will be 20 ga x 3-5/8” and indicate the wall height.
Please provide details of structural conditions at top of wall for parallel and perpendicular existing structure indicating top of wall bracing.
Please provide header and jamb requirements and connection details at wall openings. Submittal of details on 8-1/2 x 11 sheets would be adequate.
Please address each comment and include one copy of additional/revised calculations and two copies of additional/revised drawings. Please indicate the location of any additions or corrections in the response. All documents should be submitted to the permit manager as shown above.
