1) STATUS: 11-06-2017 Comments to be addressed.                        12-29-2017 COMMENTS TO BE ADDRESSED.                 1-10-2018 APPROVED.

2) The following comments based upon the 2012 International Building, Mechanical and Fuel Gas Codes must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the IBC, IMC, IFGC or any federal, state or local regulations.                    RESOLVED 12-29-2017.

3) Provide structural and seismic calculations plus fastening details for AHU-1 thru 6B, AS-1 & 2, ET-3, GT-2 & 3 and HRV-1 to include the engineers stamp and signature for structural review on a deferred submittal basis.              RESOLVED 12-29-2017.

4) M-130              It appears that the 21" X 12" SA duct penetration through the wall adjacent to column lines "Q" and "28.9" is passing through a 4 hour wall assembly and requires a fire damper per IMC 607.5.2.                RESOLVED PER RE-SUBMITTAL RECEIVED 12-26-2017.

5) M-130              The 36" X 14" EA up through the floor to Level 1 is passing through a 1-hour floor ceiling assembly (Type II-FR construction) and requires a fire damper per IMC 607.6.1.           12-29-2017 UNRESOLVED. IMC 607.6.1 specifically calls for a fire damper. Please provide the code path that eliminates that requirement. Also, this plan calls for a 36" x 14" up to Level 1, but detail 1/M-131 calls for 14" x 14" down to the rifle range. Please clarify.              RESOLVED PER RE-SUBMITTAL RECEIVED 1-03-2018.

6) M-132              The 6" EA duct penetrating the 4-hour wall at Storage I121 requires a fire damper per IMC 607.5.2.          12-29-2017 UNRESOLVED. THERE ARE 15 OTHER DUCT PENETRATIONS THROUGH THAT SAME WALL, ALL OF WHICH HAVE FIRE DAMPERS.  THIS PENETRATION IS IN THE MIDST OF ALL THE OTHERS AND WE DO NOT SEE THAT THAT SECTION OF 4-HOUR WALL HAS LOST THE REQUIREMENT TO BE RATED.                    RESOLVED PER RE-SUBMITTAL RECEIVED 1-03-2018.

7) M-135, M138 & M-531              All of the duct floor penetrations are through a 1 hour assembly (Type II-FR construction) requiring fire dampers per IMC 607.6.1.                      RESOLVED PER RE-SUBMITTAL RECEIVED 12-26-2017.

8) When the above comments have been addressed, please update the plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three sets of revised mechanical pages to include clouded changes, engineers stamp and signature. RE-SUBMITTALS ARE TO BE DIRECTED TO THE ATTENTION OF THE PERMIT MANAGER WITH A LETTER OF RESPONSE ADDRESSING EACH COMMENT.   (23.10.104.8.1)                RESOLVED 1-10-2018.
