Please verify the continuity of the shafts for the elevators and the laundry chute. Note that a termination room for the laundry chute may not be required; a rated opening protective (e.g. 1-hour hatch/door assembly) will be required.

Per maintenance inspection, some of the elevator lobby doors are damaged to where it may not meet the requirements for the 90-minute fire-resistance rating. Please coordinate replacement and/or repairs. If repairs are made, such repairs must be in compliance with NFPA 80

Refer to Sheet I-113. The exiting from the most remote point of Room 1513 to the south stair is greater than 75 ft. The doors to the meeting/dining room to the west are locked under normal operations and only release under fire alarm. A second exit is required. Please clarify the exiting from this level.

11/2/17 - Not resolved. Response notes there is an agreement between Remington and AFD regarding the allowance of the single exit space. No record of this agreement was found in AFD files, nor any recollection by any of the inspectors who have been involved with the hotel. Please clarify exiting as requested above.
