The following comments based onthe 2014 National Electrical Code (NEC) must be resolved before a permit isissued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violationof any section of the NEC or any federal, state or local regulations.
2. CIRCUIT DIRECTORY OR CIRCUIT INDENTIFICATIONON FLOOR PLAN & PANEL SCHEDULES:
Sheet E05.01 (PanelSchedules and Floor Plans Circuit Identifications). Panel schedules have manycircuits named BBW cabinet LTG, Sales center LGT, BBW cashwrap REC. Please notethat these circuits should be individually identified with their locations onfloor plans and on the panel schedules according to NEC 408.4 for circuitidentifications.
3. TRANSFORMERS MOUNTING (STRUCTURAL REVIEW)
Sheet E05.01 (Transformers Structural SeismicCalculations). Is the transformer part of the listed switchgear?
Provide structural, seismic calculations and fasteningdetails for the transformer including engineers stamp and signature, forstructural review on a deferred submittal basis. Referto AnchorageAdministrative Code AAC 23.10.104.8.1. Please address.
4. TRANSFORMERDISCONNECTING MEANS:
Sheet E05.01 (Transformers disconnecting meanslocation). Is the transformer part of the listed switchgear?
The disconnecting means should be within sightand readily accessible as required by NEC Section 629.51(c). Please address.
5. AMPERAGE INTERRUPTING CAPACITY:
Sheet E05.01 (Panel Schedule AmperageInterrupting Capacity). Panel schedules AIC are 65,000 Amps. Please providedetail AIC calculation for any panel has AIC rating higher than 10,000A.
6. AVAILABLE FAULT CURRENT:
Sheet E05.01 (Available Fault Current- Panel Schedules and Line Diagram). Provide calculation for the availablefault current at the main service equipment. NEC Section 110.24 requires thatservice equipment be legibly marked in the field with maximum available faultcurrent. Please address.
7. When the above comments have been addressed,please update the electrical plans at the MOA
Plans Review Office with three (3) sets ofrevised electrical pages to include clouded changes, electrical engineers stampand signature.
