Refer to Sheet A0.1, A2.1. The code study notes the occupancy as Group E. As there are toddler care areas (age <2-1/2 years), direct exiting from this space to the exterior is required. Please clarify the occupancy as Group I-4, or provide compliant direct egress from the space.

Refer to Sheet A2.1. The kitchen area may require a Type I hood with fire suppression, dependent on the number of children the facility is licensed for. Please provide a copy of the State of Alaska Childcare License. If the license is for more than 80 children, a Type I hood with fire suppression is required. If the license is 80 or less, please provide a copy of the menu for foods to be prepared. Foods that will produce grease-laden vapors when cooked will require a Type I hood with fire suppression.
