1) STATUS: 3-06-2017 Provide plumbing plans that are signed and sealed by the engineer of record. Comments to be addressed. 4-18-2017 COMMENTS TO BE ADDRESSED.
2) The following comments based upon the 2012 Uniform Plumbing Code must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the Uniform Plumbing Code or any federal, state or local regulations. RESOLVED 4-18-2017.
3) MP0.1b Provide a gas piping schematic for all of the gas piping downstream of the gas meter, to include gas pressure(s), pipe sizes, PRV's, equipment loads and length of the longest run downstream of the PRV such that adequate pipe sizes may be verified. RESOLVED PER RE-SUBMITTAL RECEIVED 4-10-2017.
4) P2.1 The beer and beverage conduits above the ceiling are required to be plenum rated per IMC 602.2.1. 4-18-2017 UNRESOLVED. THERE ARE TWO DROP IN RETURN AIR GRILLES ABOVE ICE MACHINE 127. THIS CEILING IS OPEN TO THE WHOLE COOKLINE AREA IN WHICH MULTIPLE CONDUITS ARE PASSING.
5) P1.0 & P1.1b Cast iron or DWV copper waste lines serving beer and soda dispensers are not compatible with the waste byproducts disposed of at those locations. Acid resistant piping is to be installed to a point where sufficient dilution from other fixtures has been accomplished. Provide plan view details as to the extent of the acid resistant piping including the last tee connection. Be aware that acid resistant piping installed in return air plenums must also be plenum rated per IMC 602.2.1. 4-18-2017 UNRESOLVED. THERE IS A LARGE CEILING AREA UNDERNEATH ON THE GROUND FLOOR THAT IS NOT PART OF THIS PROJECT THAT THE TENANTS ARE QUITE PROBABLY USING AS RETURN AIR PLENUMS. IF THAT IS THE CASE, PVC IS NOT A PLENUM RATED MATERIAL. PLEASE CLARIFY.
6) P4.1 Provide a copy of the specifications per General Note #22. 4-18-2017 UNRESOLVED. THE PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS WERE NOT INCLUDED IN THE RE-SUBMITTAL PACKAGE.
7) 1/P4.2 The water heaters require seismic straps per UPC 507.2. RESOLVED PER-RESUBMITTAL RECEIVED 4-10-2017.
8) When the above comments have been addressed, please update the plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three sets of revised mechanical pages to include clouded changes, engineers stamp and signature. RE-SUBMITTALS ARE TO BE DIRECTED TO THE ATTENTION OF THE PERMIT MANAGER WITH A LETTER OF RESPONSE ADDRESSING EACH COMMENT. (23.10.104.8.1)
