1) STATUS: 2-21-2017 Comments to be addressed.
2) The following comments based upon the 2012 Uniform Plumbing Code must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the Uniform Plumbing Code or any federal, state or local regulations.
3) P2.1 The gas piping to radiant heaters RH-1 thru RH-4 as shown on M2.6 is missing.
4) P-0.1, P2.1 & 3/P-2.5 The 6,342 MBH as noted in Keynote #2 does not include the 136 MBH for RH-1 thru 4.
5) 2/P-2.5 The direct connected floor drains (FD-1) are not permitted in the walk-in cooler per UPC 418.4.
6) 2/P-2.5 The 3-compartment sink and pre-rinse sink (S-1) are required to be directly connected (UPC 704.3) with a center waste outlet on the 3-compartment sink (UPC 1001.1). The 3-compartment sink and pre-rinse sink are to be separately trapped and vented (UPC 1014.1.1). A floor drain or flush mounted floor sink is to be located within 5 feet of the 3-compartment sink and dishwasher (UPC 704.4 plus local amendment). Provide a schematic diagram to clarify details.
7) P-3.0 Considerable amounts of grease will be admitted to the sanitary sewer system via the pre-rinse sink (S-1) requiring it to be connected to the grease waste system per UPC 1014.1. However; food particles introduced through the garbage disposal are not permitted to be admitted to the grease interceptor (GI-1) per UPC 1014.1.3.
8) P-3.0 The 3-compartment sink and pre-rinse sink (S-1) as noted in the schedule for S-1, are to be directly connected per UPC 704.3.
9) 7/P4.0 The 4 radiant heaters (RH-1 thru 4) are missing from the gas schematic and the 6,342 MBH does not include the additional load.
10) When the above comments have been addressed, please update the plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three sets of revised plumbing pages to include clouded changes, engineers stamp and signature. RE-SUBMITTALS ARE TO BE DIRECTED TO THE ATTENTION OF THE PERMIT MANAGER WITH A LETTER OF RESPONSE ADDRESSING EACH COMMENT. (23.10.104.8.1)
