1) STATUS: 1-10-2017 Comments to be addressed.

2) The following comments based upon the 2012 International Building, Mechanical and Fuel Gas Codes must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the IBC, IMC, IFGC or any federal, state or local regulations. 

3) M2.2                Elevator Machine Room #B7 is required to be built as a 2-hour enclosure per IBC 3006.4. and 713.4. The supply air duct and transfer air penetrations are required to have fire dampers per IMC 607.5.2.

4) M2.2                Without a code study it is difficult to ascertain, but it appears that the two air transfer openings into Telephone B5 have fire dampers. It would therefore seem that the supply air duct penetration into that room would also require a fire damper. (IMC 713.4) Please clarify.

5) When the above comments have been addressed, please update the plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three sets of revised mechanical pages to include clouded changes, engineers stamp and signature. RE-SUBMITTALS ARE TO BE DIRECTED TO THE ATTENTION OF THE PERMIT MANAGER WITH A LETTER OF RESPONSE ADDRESSING EACH COMMENT.   (23.10.104.8.1)
