1) STATUS: 12-02-2016 Comments to be addressed. 12-23-2016 APPROVED.
2) The following comments based upon the 2012 International Building, Mechanical and Fuel Gas Codes must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the IBC, IMC, IFGC or any federal, state or local regulations. RESOLVED 12-23-2016.
3) M-200 The open working area is approximately 1,200 square feet. IMC Table 403.3 requires .6 CFM per square foot of exhaust direct to the exterior for nail salons. This would be 720 CFM or 120 CFM shy of what EF-1 can provide. The rooftop unit is not allowed to make up the deficit since the air cannot be part of a recirculating system per Table 403.3 footnote 'b". RESOLVED PER RE-SUBMITTAL RECEIVED 12-22-2016.
4) M-200 Provide clarification that the existing ventilation system is a stand alone unit for this tenant space only. (IMC 403.2.1 exception #1) RESOLVED PER RE-SUBMITTAL RECEIVED 12-22-2016.
5) M-200 Clarify the makeup air path for the laundry room when the clothes dryer is operating. RESOLVED PER RE-SUBMITTAL RECEIVED 12-22-2016.
6) M-200 The quick dry tables also require source capture exhaust per Table 403.3 plus local amendment. RESOLVED PER RE-SUBMITTAL RECEIVED 12-22-2016.
7) When the above comments have been addressed, please update the plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three sets of revised mechanical pages to include clouded changes, engineers stamp and signature. RE-SUBMITTALS ARE TO BE DIRECTED TO THE ATTENTION OF THE PERMIT MANAGER WITH A LETTER OF RESPONSE ADDRESSING EACH COMMENT. (23.10.104.8.1) RESOLVED 12-23-2016.
