1. Thefollowing comments based on the 2014 National Electrical Code (NEC) must beresolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specificationsdoes not permit the violation of any section of the NEC or any federal, stateor local regulations.
2. AVAILABLE FAULT CURRENT:
Sheet E11 (Field Marking -Available Fault Current). The plans have no available fault current calculationand marking instruction. NEC Section 110.24 requires that service equipment belegibly marked in the field with the maximum available fault current. The fieldmarkings shall include the date the fault current calculation was performed.The marking shall have sufficient durability to withstand the environmentinvolved. The marking of the available fault current shall be on the serviceequipment. Please address.
3. CIRCUIT DIRECTORY OR CIRCUIT INDENTIFICATIONON FLOOR PLAN & PANEL SCHEDULES:
Sheet E12 (PanelSchedules and Floor Plans Circuit Identifications). Panel schedules have manycircuits named upstairs receptacles, dock lights, and baseboard heat. Pleasenote that these circuits should be individually identified with their locationson floor plans and on the panel schedules according to NEC 408.4 for circuitidentifications. Please address.
4. ELECTRIC HEAT LOAD CALCULATIONS:
Sheet E12. Panel schedules showelectric heater, baseboard heat, heat tape, valve-box heat. Please note that electricheat should be calculated at continuous 125%. Please address.
5. When the above comments have been addressed,please update the electrical plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three(3) sets of revised electrical pages to include clouded changes, electricalengineers stamp and signature.
