1. Thefollowing comments based on the 2014 National Electrical Code (NEC) must beresolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specificationsdoes not permit the violation of any section of the NEC or any federal, stateor local regulations.
2. AMPERAGE INTERRUPTINGAMPACITY:
Sheet 3 of 3 (Panel Schedule AIC). The AIC calculationon both panels shown to be 18,000 Amps. Please provide detail AIC calculationfor any panel has AIC rating higher than 10,000A.
3. CIRCUIT DIRECTORY OR CIRCUIT INDENTIFICATIONON FLOOR PLAN & PANEL SCHEDULES:
Sheet 3 of 3 (PanelSchedules and Floor Plans Circuit Identifications). Panel schedules have manycircuits named head bolt heater receptacle. Please note that these circuitsshould be individually identified with their locations on floor plans and onthe panel schedules according to NEC 408.4 for circuit identifications.
4. AVAILABLE FAULT CURRENT:
Sheet 3 of 3 (Field Marking -Available Fault Current). NEC Section 110.24 requires that service equipment belegibly marked in the field with the maximum available fault current. The fieldmarkings shall include the date the fault current calculation was performed.The marking shall have sufficient durability to withstand the environmentinvolved. The marking of the available fault current shall be on the serviceequipment and on every panel since panels are located on their individual units
5. EXISTINGSERVICE LOAD CALCULATIONS:Sheet 3 of 3. There are additional panel added. The plans have no calculationsfor feeder loads for existing system. Provide service load calculation asrequired per NEC Section 220.87.
6. Whenthe above comments have been addressed, please update the electrical plans atthe MOA
Plans Review Office with three (3) sets ofrevised electrical pages to include clouded changes, electrical engineers stampand signature.
