1) STATUS:   3-08-16 Comments to be addressed.

2) The following comments based upon the 2009 International Building Code (IBC) must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the IBC or any federal, state or local regulations.

3) T0.1 For the size and height of the building, plus the fact that the existing floor/ceiling assembly is rated for 2-hours, we know that the construction type should be Type "I-A".

4) T0.1 Provide the "Fire-Resistance Rating Requirements for the Building Elements" per Table 601.

5) T0.1 It needs to be noted that any damage to the rated protective enclosures around existing structural members is to be repaired.

6) 1/AD2.1 Clarify how it is possible to access Stairway #6 through doors with panic hardware, from the same level to opposite ends of the stairwell? (Ref door #E03 and #E04 plus 6 & 7/G1.1)

7) 4/A3.1 Fire retardant treated wood is still considered combustible and is not permitted within Type I or II construction.

8) 2 & 3/A3.1 These wall that go all the way to the deck above require top of wall slip joints and for the rated wall a listed slip joint is required.

9) When the above comments have been addressed please update the plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three sets of revised architectural pages to include clouded changes, architects stamp and signature.

RE-SUBMITTALS ARE TO BE DIRECTED TO THE ATTENTION OF THE PERMIT MANAGER WITH A LETTER OF RESPONSE ADDRESSING EACH COMMENT. (23.10.104.8.1)
