1. Reference the design of the hold down. Please provide the following:

A. It doesn't appear as if the correct load combinations have been used. Instead of using load combinations it appears that safety factors have been used (0.9 for seismic and 0.67 for wind). Please use the load combination required by IBC section 1605.
B. For light gage metal stud framing, the 2007 AISI 213 requires hold downs, chords and anchorage to be designed for the load combinations including overstrength. It does not appear as this has been done. Please verify. Reference AISI 213-07 section C5.1.2.2.
C. Please verify that the wind case includes wind uplift loads on the roof. Wind uplift would be applied concurrently with wind lateral pressures. Reference IBC sections 1604.9 and 1605 and ASCE 7-05 chapter 6.
D. Please provide design of the anchorage per ACI 318-08 Appendix D.
E. Please provide details showing the hold downs with locations, and the anchorage requirements. Reference AAC section 23.10.104.8.
