The permit application shows the proposed use as an A2.  Since the previous use was a Group M the type of permit should reflect a "Change of Use" .

RESOLVED 7/14/15- No longer an issue. Revised plans submitted 7/14/15 to change building use from A2 Occupancy- less than 50(47 occupants).YNJAEGGE

Show on plans both the number and location of maximum occuppant load signage as required per IBC 1004.3

Room 111 is shown as a storage room.  IBC 1014.2 would not allow egress thru this room unless you meet all conditions of 4 exception 2 particularly 2.4.

RESOLVED 7/14/15- No longer an issue. Revised plans submitted 7/14/15 to change building use from A2 Occupancy- less than 50; 2nd exit not required.  YNJAEGGE

It appears that occuppants will be required to pass through a storage area of another tenant.  IBC 1014.2.1, to include the exception, does not allow this.  Even if allowed the painted exit pathway on the floor would not be compliant with 1014.2.  It apears that an egress corridor is required.

RESOLVED 7/14/15- No longer an issue. Revised plans submitted 7/14/15 to change building use from A2 Occupancy- less than 50; 2nd exit no longer required.  YNJAEGGE

7/15/15 Fire Comment - Electrical deferred submittal.  YJAEGGE.  Provide electrical plans showing locatons of emergency light and exit fixtures.  Include both existing & new.  It appears that a directional exit sign will be required between space 101 & 104.

7/14/15 REVIEW COMMENTS - Item not yet resolved from original comment (below).  Please provide schedule of door hardware based on revised plans.  Does not have to be panic based on revised plans less than 50 but must comply with IFC 1008.1.9.1, 1008.1.9.3 and MOA AFD Policy #08-004; no multi-turn thumbturns, tight grasping, etc.   Update plans to identify hardware; especially on main entrance.  YNJAEGGE

Provide door hardware details.  All doors leading to the 2nd exit (105, 111, & the existing south side exterior door) shall be equipped with panic hardware.

RESOLVED-10/7/15-Plans redlined to indicate compliant panic hardware provided at main entrance w/ sign this door to remain unlocked when building is occupied; main entrance to are free swinging doors. Y.JAEGGE
