The following comments based on the 2009 International Building, Mechanical and Fuel Gas Codes must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the IBC, IMC, IFGC or any federal, state or local regulations.

4/M-09           "Horizontal upper combustion air ducts shall not slope downward toward the source of combustion air" (IFGC 304.11.6) and shall be sized per IFGC 304.6.2.          6-29-15 UNRESOLVED. THE INTENT OF THE CODE IS TO NOT CREATE A HEAT TRAP.          9-16-15 UNRESOLVED. THE COMBUSTION AIR OPENING IS APPROXIMATELY 429% OF THE REQUIRED OPENING SIZE PER IFGC 304.6.2 AND STILL SLOPES DOWNWARD TOWARD THE SOURCE OF COMBUSTION AIR (TOWARD THE OUTSIDE). A HOODED SCREENED OPENING STRAIGHT THROUGH THE WALL 67 SQ. IN. OR LARGER WOULD SUFFICE.

NEW 6-29-15    Provide structural and seismic calculations plus fastening details for BLR-101 to include engineers stamp and signature, for structural review on a deferred submittal basis.
