The following comments based upon the 2009 International Building Code (IBC) must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the IBC or any federal, state or local regulations.

Provide structural and seismic calculations plus fastening details for the suspended ceiling soffit to include engineers stamp and signature, for structural review on a deferred submittal basis.

G1.00      Except for the tower, the rest and older part of the Dimond Center Mall is Type "III-B" construction. Redo the Code Study to reflect the Type "III-B" construction.

G1.00      The Dimond Center Vicinity Map shows the tenant improvement on Level 2 while the floor plans indicate Level 1 with exterior exit doors to grade. Please clarify.        6-05-15 UNRESOLVED. THE PERFECT CUP AND CINEMAS ARE LOCATED ON THE SECOND FLOOR. IF THIS TENANT IMPROVEMENT IS INDEED ON THE SECOND FLOOR, WE ARE NOT AWARE OF ANY EXTERIOR LANDING WITH STAIRS TO GRADE. IF THERE IS PROVIDE CLARIFICATION ON THE PLANS.

A1.00      It appears that all of the glass walls for Party Room 117 require safety glazing per IBC 2406.4.6 & 2406.4.7. Please clarify.        6-05-15 UNRESOLVED. THE REQUIREMENT FOR THE SAFETY GLAZING MUST BE ANNOTATED ON THE PLANS.
