ACI 530-08 section 1.17.3.2.3.1 requires vertical reinforcement of at least 0.2 square inches in cross sectional area within 16" of each side of an opening. Please verify that this reinforcement exists or provide details showing how this reinforcement will be provided if it does not exist.
