STATUS:   4-30-15 Comments to be addressed.

The following comments based upon the 2009 International Building Code (IBC) must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the IBC or any federal, state or local regulations.

2_

HC1.1         The water closet horizontal grab bars are allowed to be a minimum of 33" and a maximum of 36" above the finished floor to the top of the gripping surface. (ICC/ANSI A117.1-609.4)  This information is missing from the standard ADA dimensional details.

3_
A1.0        The corners of the ramp up to the lift present a tripping hazard to passing foot traffic.

4_
A2.0        The new partition Type "B" along column line #8 is required to have a 1-Hour rating per IBC 402.7.2. Provide clarification.

5_
A6.3        The 33" minimum and the 36" maximum mounting height of the ADA water closet horizontal grab bars is measured to the "top of the gripping surface", not to centerline. (ICC/ANSI A117.1-609.4)

Advisory Information:

When the above comments have been addressed please update the plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three sets of revised architectural pages to include clouded changes, architects stamp and signature.

RE-SUBMITTALS ARE TO BE DIRECTED TO THE ATTENTION OF THE PERMIT MANAGER WITH A LETTER OF RESPONSE ADDRESSING EACH COMMENT.
