1. The following comments based on the 2011 National Electrical Code (NEC) must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the NEC or any federal, state or local regulations.
2. TRANSFORMER (T1) FIRE RATED HOUSING:
Sheet E-030 (Line Diagram – 225 KVA Transformer Fire Rating Housing). NEC Section 450.21(B) requires transformer larger than 112.5KVA to be installed in a fire resistant room of minimum 1-hr fire rating. Please address.
3 TRANSFORMER MOUNTING (STRUCTURAL REVIEW)
Sheet E-030 (One Line Diagram – Transformer). Provide structural, seismic and wind load calculations as applicable, plus fastening details for the transformer to include engineers stamp and signature, for structural review on a deferred submittal basis. Refer to Anchorage Administrative Code AAC 23.10.104.8.1. Please address.
4. When the above comments have been addressed, please update the electrical plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three (3) sets of revised electrical pages to include clouded changes, electrical engineers stamp and signature.
