ANCHOR DESIGN

Reference the design of the anchors. Please clarify why the anchors are not designed to the expected capacity of the braces as required by AISC 341-05 section 8.5a. Please design anchors to strength level forces as required by IBC section 1912.

END PLATE DESIGN

Please provide design of the plates at the end of the anchor bolt groups for the new loads. Since the bearing stress have been changed on the plate both bearing on the concrete and the plate size must be verified. Reference AISC 360-05 sections J8 and F11, and ACI 318-08 section 10.14.
