1.  The following comments based on the 2011 National Electrical Code (NEC) must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the NEC or any federal, state or local regulations.

 

2. MISSING SHEETS:

Sheet ??. The plans has demo lighting and power sheets Provide the new lighting and power design sheet.

 

3.  EXISTING SERVICE LOAD CALCULATIONS:
Sheet E3.1 The plans have no calculations for feeder loads for the existing building as required by NEC Section 220.87. Please address.

 

4.  CIRCUIT DIRECTORY OR CIRCUIT INDENTIFICATION ON FLOOR PLAN & PANEL SCHEDULS:

Sheet E301. The panel schedule are provided with generic names for the circuits such as P.O.S recept, recept office and other circuits names  These circuits should be clearly indentified. No two circuits should have the same identification/name. Refer to NEC 408.4 for circuit identifications.

 

5. AVAILABLE FAULT CURRENT:

Sheet E3.1 (Field Marking - Available Fault Current). Verify that the available fault current is calculated and marked on the service equipment. NEC Section 110.24 requires that service equipment be legibly marked in the field with maximum available fault current. The field markings shall include the date the fault current calculation was performed and be of sufficient durability to withstand the environment involved.

 

6.  When the above comments have been addressed, please update the electrical plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three (3) sets of revised electrical pages to include clouded changes, electrical engineers stamp and signature.
