10/10/2014 – Review complete. Comments issued.
Advisory Comment (no response required): This review is based on the requirements of the Anchorage Administrative Code (AAC), 2009 International Building Code (IBC), 2009 International Residential Code (IRC) and all adopted references thereto as amended by MOA. The following comments must be addressed before a permit can be issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of the codes, or any federal, state or local regulations.
1. FANS EF-1-1, SFTA-36, TDF620/685, AND VF-EL-1
Reference the portion of the submittal including the fans referenced in the title. Details used for construction are required to be stamped and signed by an engineer licensed in Alaska. For the support of these fans it appears the following pages must be stamped: the sheet titled “Cable Bracing Requirements,” sheet E3, sheet D1.1TZ3, sheet D2.1TZ-OR, sheet B39.0, sheet B39.3, sheet B39.1, sheet B39.4, and sheet B50.3. Please provide these sheets stamped and signed by an engineer licensed in Alaska. Reference the Alaska State Statutes section 08.48.221.
2. GROUND MOUNTED EQUIPMENT
Reference sketches SK2 through SK6 of the “Ground Mounted Equipment” submittal. Please provide details that are stamped and signed by an engineer licensed in Alaska. Reference the Alaska State Statutes section 08.48.221.
3. AHU 9 AND 10
Reference SK1 of “Item # 230547-003” in the submittal. Please provide a stamped and signed sketch SK1 as required by the Alaska State Statutes section 08.48.221.
4. FCU-1, AC-EL1, AND BOILER
Reference “Item # 230547-002” in the submittal. It appears that drawings B39.1 and B50.3 have not been provided for FCU-1. Please provide please have the engineer of record stamp and sign sheets D1.1TZ3, D2.1TZ-OR, E3, B39.1, and B50.3 in addition to the “Cable Bracing Requirements” for FCU-1. Please provide a stamped and signed copy of SK1 for AC-EL1 and SK1 and SK2 for the boiler. Reference the Alaska State Statutes section 08.48.221.
Please provide a written response to the comments and include one copy of additional or revise calculations, and two copies of additional or revise drawings.
All submittals should be sent to the permit manager.
