The comments below have been reviewed and approved.

**********************************************************************************************************************

1.  The following comments based on the 2011 National Electrical Code (NEC) must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the NEC or any federal, state or local regulations.

2.  EQUIPMENT REQUIRES THIRD PARTY LISTING:
Please be aware that all equipment will require and be checked for third party listing per NEC 110-3. Any new or existing equipment to be reused or relocated will be checked for listing by the electrical inspector. Any equipment found without a listing will be required to go through testing to gain approval. Inspector to field verify. NO RESPONSE REQUIRED.

3.  AVAILABLE FAULT CURRENT:

Sheet E4.01 (Field Marking - Available Fault Current). NEC Section 110.24 requires that service equipment be legibly marked in the field with the maximum available fault current. The field markings shall include the date the fault current calculation was performed and be of sufficient durability to withstand the environment involved.  Please address

4.  TRANSFORMER DISCONNECTING MEANS:

Sheet E4.01. NEC Section 450.14 requires that transformers have a disconnecting means located either in sight of the transformer or in a remote location. When located in the remote location, the disconnecting means shall be lockable and shall be field marked to reference the transformer location. Please address.

5.  TRANSFORMERS MOUNTING (STRUCTURAL REVIEW):

Sheet E4.01 (Transformers Structural Seismic Calculations). Provide structural, seismic and wind load calculations as applicable, plus fastening details for the transformer including engineers stamp and signature, for structural review on a deferred submittal basis. Refer to Anchorage Administrative Code AAC 23.10.104.8.1. Please address.

6. DEMAND CALCULATION FOR RECEPTACLES:

Sheet E6.04 (Panel Schedule 4LEC3). It appears that the demand calculation is computed at 50%. Please compute the demand load per NEC 220.44, 220., 210.11 C1&C2

7. CIRCUIT DIRECTORY OR CIRCUIT INDENTIFICATION ON FLOOR PLAN & PANEL SCHEDULES:

Sheet E6.04 (Panel Schedule 4LEC3). Panel schedules have generic names for power. For example: many circuits are identified as receptacles, many circuits are identified as rec-lift, and many circuits are identified as NEC-S.N. These circuits should be identified clearly. Refer to NEC 408.4 for circuit identifications.

8. ONE LINE DIAGRAM:

Sheet E6.04 (One Line Diagram – selective coordination). Please provide a statement to acknowledge the design is in compliance with selective coordination section of NEC 517

9.  When the above comments have been addressed, please update the electrical plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three (3) sets of revised electrical pages to include clouded changes, electrical engineers stamp and signature.
