1. The following comments based on the 2011 National Electrical Code (NEC) must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the NEC or any federal, state or local regulations.
2. EXISTING SERVICE LOAD CALCULATIONS:Sheet E-300 (Existing Service Entrance Calculation). The plans have no calculations for feeder loads for the existing building as required by NEC Section 220.87. Please address.
3. AVAILABLE FAULT CURRENT:
Sheet E-300 (Field Marking - Available Fault Current). Please note that NEC Section 110.24 requires that service equipment be legibly marked in the field with maximum available fault current. The field markings shall include the date the fault current calculation was performed and be of sufficient durability to withstand the environment involved.
4. CIRCUIT DIRECTORY OR CIRCUIT INDENTIFICATION ON FLOOR PLAN & PANEL SCHEDULS:
Sheet E-4.00 (Panel Schedules Circuit Identifications). Panel schedules and floor plans do not have same circuit identifications. For example; panel P shows multi circuits identified as rec-sales wall 1004, rec-brand wall, rec-sales area solution center, and rec-sales floor. Panel L has multi circuits identified as signage, sales LTG. Note that these circuits should be clearly indentified on the panel schedules and floor plans. Refer to NEC 408.4 for circuit identifications.
5. When the above comments have been addressed, please update the electrical plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three (3) sets of revised electrical pages to include clouded changes, electrical engineers stamp and signature.
