David,

I understand that there was a question as to why we had no electrical plans submitted with the Romig CTE Footing & Foundation plan set (Permit #C14-1705).  The reason is that we didn't anticipate having any major underground conduits in the area of work for Romig.  Any branch panels and other large equipment in that area will be fed overhead from the existing MDP.  While it is true that there may be some branch circuit conduits run under the slab to feed other circuits in the new addition, that becomes contractor means and methods and we have no way of knowing which circuits the contractor will run underslab and which will be run overhead (probably most of them).  That is why we didn't show any branch circuit conduits on the F&F plan.

In the Romig Business area, we do have some floor boxes that will have at least one conduit feeding them but as the design develops, those floor box locations are subject to change and it was my understanding that branch circuit conduits like this are not typically shown on a F&F permit set.

Please let me know if that is acceptable to you.  Call or email if you have any questions.

Thanks,
