1) STATUS:   5-16-14 Comments to be addressed.          7-16-14 APPROVED.

 

2) The following comments based on the 2009 International Building, Mechanical and Fuel Gas Codes must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the IBC, IMC, IFGC or any federal, state or local regulations.        RESOLVED 7-16-14.

 

3) M303          The two 30"x 30" RA ducts penetrating 2-Hour rated shafts require fire/smoke dampers per IBC 716.5.3.     IFC 406.3.3.2 ALLOWS EXISTING SHAFT PENETRATIONS/OPENINGS IF THE BUILDING IS FULLY SPRINKLERED. RESOLVED 7-16-14.

 

4) M303          The existing ducts penetrating the same shafts also require fire/smoke dampers per IBC 716.5.3. Please clarify.               IFC 406.3.3.2 ALLOWS EXISTING SHAFT PENETRATIONS/OPENINGS IF THE BUILDING IS FULLY SPRINKLERED. RESOLVED 7-16-14.

 

5) When the above comments have been addressed please update the plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three sets of revised mechanical pages to include clouded changes, engineers stamp and signature.                                   RE-SUBMITTALS ARE TO BE DIRECTED TO THE ATTENTION OF THE PERMIT MANAGER WITH A LETTER OF RESPONSE ADDRESSING EACH COMMENT.        RESOLVED 7-16-14.
