1. Status: Architectural Corrections required. 05/30/14
2. The following comments based on the 2009 International Building Code (IBC) and 2009 International Existing Building Code (IEBC) must be resolved before a permit is issued. The plans and specifications do not permit the violation of any section of the IBC or any federal, state, or local regulations.
3. Drawing A0.0, Cover, Code; The Occupancy Type is identified as "A 2.1 & A 3" in the code study. In the 1994 UBC submittal, the Occupancy Type was identified as "A 3" in the code study. However, I believe that per the 2009 International Building Code (IBC), the Occupancy Type should be identified as "A1" in the code study. Please clarify. 05/30/14
4. Drawing A0.0, Cover, Code; The Construction Type is identified as "Type II (one hour)" in the code study. In the 1994 UBC submittal, the Construction Type was identified as "Type V (one hour)" in the code study. However, I believe that per the 2009 International Building Code (IBC), the Construction Type should be identified as "Type VA (which is one hour)" in the code study. Please clarify. 05/30/14
5. Drawing A0.0, Cover, Code and A1.2, Retrofit First Floor Plan and Details; Every room or space that is an assembly occupancy shall have the occupant load of the room or space posted in a conspicuous place, near the main exit or exit access doorway from the room or space, per IBC Section 1004.3. Please provide one for each of the 9 auditoriums at the respective vestibule entry and provide separate signage for the lobby and the entire theatre. 05/30/14
6. Drawing A0.0, Cover, Code and A1.2, Retrofit First Floor Plan and Details; Please indicate the aisle widths when the new seating is extended for the leg support. Please clarify code compliance with aisle widths per the 2009 International Building Code Section 1028. 05/30/14
