1. The installation of computer jacks for workstations within the rated stair enclosure is not allowed per IBC 1020.1. & 1022.1. An exit enclosure shall not be used for any purpose other than a means of egress. IBC 1022.4 does not allow penetrations into exit enclosures that do not serve the enclosure.
