1.  Status: Architectural Corrections required.  02/21/14   Status: Full Architectural Approval.  03/17/14

2.  The following comments (for this change order only) based on the 2009 International Building Code (IBC) and 2009 International Existing Building Code (IEBC) must be resolved before a permit is issued.  The plans and specifications do not permit the violation of any section of the IBC or any federal, state, or local regulations.

3.  Drawing No. C0-0, Code Information / A, Applicable Building Codes;  The Applicable Building Codes as listed are correct; however, there exist Local Ammendments to most of them that are available on-line at the muni.org web site under Development Services Department, Building Safety Division.  In addition, the International Existing Building Code (IEBC) 2009 should be added to the list of Applicable Building Codes.  Please verify that these Local Ammendments are included in the Applicable Building Codes review.  02/21/14    Resolved.  This comment is resolved by Redline to the plans.  03/12/14

4.  Drawing No. C0-0, Code Information / B, Building Classification;  The Code Study correctly identifies the Building Construction Type as IIB and VA.  Since two Building Construction Types are generally not allowed in the same building, please clarify that this was previously allowed (and is grandfathered if you are performing work under the IEBC) due to the installation of a deluge system provided between grid lines 14 and 15 for the full length of the store space.  Please also indicate that the Building Construction Type is IIB from grid line 14 and lower.   Please also indicate that the Building Construction Type is VA from grid line 15 and higher.  02/21/14    Resolved.  This permit is entirely within the Building Construction Type IIB portion of the mall.  03/12/14

5.  Drawing No. A1-0c, Construction Floor Plan; The Construction Floor Plan indicates that the Old Navy Store tennant space is being reduced with a new demising wall to be located at grid line 12.  Please indicate exactly what falls under the scope of this permit and what falls under the scope of  the landlord as part of a separate permit.  Note that approval of the landlord's permit would have to run concurent with this permit and a CO only issued after the work for both permits is completed.  02/21/14    Resolved.  This permit is entirely within the Building Construction Type IIB portion of the mall and covers only the new dimising wall near column line 12.  03/12/14

6.  Drawing No. A4-0, Section 5, Accoustical Ceiling Tile; Please verify that MOA Building Safety Handout A.04, Suspended Ceilings Industry Standard Construction, requirements will be incorporated into the replaced Suspended Ceilings.  02/21/14    Resolved.  This is confirmed, as applicable.   03/12/14

7.   Drawing No. General; Verify that safety glazing is provided in all required locations per IBC section 2406.3.  02/21/14    Resolved.  This is confirmed, as applicable.   03/12/14
