ELECTRICAL PLANS REVIEW STATUS:
The electrical plans have been revised with the correction reviewed and approved
******************************************************************************************
1. The following comments based on the 2011 National Electrical Code (NEC) must be resolved before a permit is issued. The approval of plans and specifications does not permit the violation of any section of the NEC or any federal, state or local regulations.
2. EQUIPMENT REQUIRES THIRD PARTY LISTING:Please be aware that all equipment will require and be checked for third party listing per NEC 110-3. Any new or existing equipment to be reused or relocated will be checked for listing by the electrical inspector. Any equipment found without a listing will be required to go through testing to gain approval. Inspector to field verify. NO RESPONSE REQUIRED.
3. AVAILABLE FAULT CURRENT:
Sheet E6.0.1 (Field Marking - Available Fault Current). NEC Section 110.24 requires that service equipment be legibly marked in the field with the maximum available fault current. The field markings shall include the date the fault current calculation was performed and be of sufficient durability to withstand the environment involved.
4. CIRCUIT DIRECTORY OR CIRCUIT INDENTIFICATION ON FLOOR PLAN & PANEL SCHEDULS:
Sheet E6.0.1 (Floor Plan and Panel Schedules Circuit Identifications). Panels and floor plan do not have circuit identifications. For examples: panel 1A shows upstairs receptacles, panel 1L shows general lighting zone, panel P shows rack lighting zone 3, window receptacle zone 5, panel A shows pos receptacles. These circuits shall be clearly identified individually on panel schedule as well as on the floor plans. Refer to NEC 408.4 for circuit identifications.
5. TRANSFORMERS DISCONNECTING MEANS:
Sheets E1.0.0 and E6.00. Section 450.14 requires that transformers have a disconnecting means located either in sight of the transformer or in a remote location. When located in the remote location, the disconnecting means shall be lockable and shall be field marked to reference the transformer location. Please address. Please note that many of the notes are related to transformers. Examples; Note #6 in sheet E0.0.0 is not related to the transformers.
6. TRANSFORMERS MOUNTING (STRUCTURAL REVIEW):
Sheets E1.0.0 and E6.0.0 (Transformers Structural Seismic Calculations). Provide structural, seismic and wind load calculations as applicable, plus fastening details for the transformers including engineers stamp and signature, for structural review on a deferred submittal basis. Refer to Anchorage Administrative Code AAC 23.10.104.8.1. Please address.
7. When the above comments have been addressed, please update the electrical plans at the MOA Plans Review Office with three (3) sets of revised electrical pages to include clouded changes, electrical engineers stamp and signature.
