2. The following comments based on the 2009 International Building Code (IBC) and 2009 International Existing Building Code (IEBC) must be resolved before a permit is issued. The plans and specifications do not permit the violation of any section of the IBC or any federal, state, or local regulations.
3. Drawing A, New Floor Plan; Please Clarify the Means of Egress Illumination. Verify/show the emergency lighting and the emergency exit discharge lighting per IBC Section 1006.3. Most of the required emergency lighting probably exists in the building; however, the new build-out may require additional emergency lighting in the newly created spaces. 12/26/13 Resolved. This comment is resolved by Redline to the plans. 12/30/13
4. Drawing A, New Floor Plan; The plan does not indicate all exit sign locations. Verify/show the exit sign locations per IBC Section 1011.1. Most should be existing in the building; however, the new build out and exit requires additional exit signs. 12/26/13 Resolved. This comment is resolved by Redline to the plans. 12/30/13
5. Drawing A, New Floor Plan; Per IBC Section 906 and IFC Section 906, Show size, type, & location of fire extinguishers, both existing & new. Extinguishers shall be located along the path of egress, near the exits, a maximum 75 ft travel from any point within the building to the extinguisher. 12/26/13 Resolved.
